We are Zephyr FM, an entirely self-funded group of students from the Thomas Deacon Academy in Peterborough who run a radio station that is broadcast in the local area and internationally over the Internet.

Phew! The launch! it went well and we went live at 2.45pm with DJ Kutz playing in the Atrium and the Drivetime show starting up on air. We had the ET in and they took a video so keep an eye out for it. Day 1 finished a success and we move onto the the 3 week broadcast. Schedule will be up shortly, and we have live feeds on the Academy intranet, and soon the internet, so anyone can listen. The FM range is quite good, but better to the east than west of the Academy. |

On 3rd April 2009, Zephyr FM announced itself to the world with a balloon launch from the Academy. We sold a lot of tickets and raised a lot of money, so well done to everyone involved. Congratulations go to Sean O'Reilly, the winner of an iPod Nano. His balloon got all the way to Hull! |
